The Brief

Our brief was to appoint a world-class Marketing Director into a newly created role.

The Marketing Director would be responsible for developing and delivering a marketing and communication strategy to accelerate client acquisition rates and the take-up of additional products by existing customers. Due to the entrepreneurial and innovative nature of the business, the successful candidate needed to be able to work closely with the Founder and be prepared to roll up their sleeves. Strong academics and a passion for personal finance were also vital.

The Process

The client had a very specific idea of the type of person they aspired to hire, therefore we pinpointed key targets using the predetermined criteria and set about engaging with these individuals.

Fortune Hill used their extensive network and rigorous mapping methodologies to identify and connect with key priority candidates. Using our detailed understanding of the business and culture, we engaged with these candidates and created excitement around the opportunity. All of the candidates on our shortlist were happy in their current roles but due to the professional and persuasive nature of our approach, were able to get individuals to commit to exploring the assignment further.
