The Brief

Our brief was to identify and attract an exceptionally talented Sales Director to drive significant change and deliver profitable growth for this key player in the highly competitive small domestic appliances industry.

The previous Sales Director was due to retire after 8 successful years and would leave a strong legacy. The business required a leader to grow market share through innovative distribution and promotional strategies while maintaining the high performance culture within the sales team.

The Process

To enable our client to appoint the very best candidate, our Research Consultants identified and qualified the Sales Director of every relevant UK consumer electronics business and also mapped the relevant target candidates from mid-size FMCG organisations. In addition, internal candidates were managed through an identical assessment process to the one experienced by external candidates.

We also leveraged our existing contact networks to identify hidden talent, resulting in numerous recommendations.
