The Brief

Our brief was to appoint a Managing Director who would take over the day-to-day running of our client’s UK business.

As the business is owner-led, the successful candidate needed to be someone with an exceptional skill set and expertise who would be trusted and relied upon to take over the day to day operations whilst our client focussed on international expansion.

The successful candidate needed to be a first-class business leader, ideally with a technology background. Our client was undergoing a period of rapid growth and the new Managing Director needed to drive this growth in addition to identifying and exploiting new commercial opportunities, in particular the formation of commercial partnerships and the expansion of our client's customer base. Most importantly, this individual needed to be an exceptional and charismatic leader who could gain the support of their colleagues in their new leadership role, as they stepped in to take over from the owner and founder of the business.

We approached more than 250 people and generated a significant number of recommendations and referrals to lead us to the most talented candidates the market had to offer.
