The client had exceptionally high expectations due to their stretching business growth plans. This person had to be an 'A player' with a first-class academic background, who had progressed well ahead of the typical career curve. The role was also based in a challenging location.

The Process

Fortune Hill were able to leverage relationships that had been built up over a number of years to engage passive talent and persuade our client’s first-choice of candidate to join their business.

Fortune Hill were able to secure our client’s first choice of individual who has since been promoted to their Board and continues to be instrumental in creating a phenomenal success story.

Fortune Hill facilitated the recruitment of an individual who was, at the time, the Marketing Director for one of the leading UK grocers. He has a 1st class degree in Mathematics from Cambridge University and spent 10 years in strategy consulting prior to joining the supermarket. Our network enabled us to access the individual and our passion and enthusiasm for our client enabled us to engage him to consider the opportunity. We worked in close partnership with our client to address each of his challenges, which ultimately meant that he became actively interested and joined our client.
