The Brief

Our brief was to identify, engage and attract an outstanding Head of Creative. Their brief was to evolve, define and communicate this iconic digital brand’s voice, identity and values ensuring they remain credible and relevant.

The business had not succeeded in recruiting a Head of Creative and the position had been vacant for more than a year. Creative and content are at the forefront of the organisation's strategy and the role is therefore critical, so the business decided to retain Fortune Hill, to manage a search for the ideal candidate for this critical role.

The Process

Fortune Hill developed a search strategy in conjunction with the client to identify the very best creative talent in the industry.

A target company list was built and our research team identified candidates not only from pureplay and multichannel retailers, but also from creative agencies and media and publishing houses. We also used our existing network to identify any further hidden talent. The combination of our knowledge of the industry, extensive research, thorough mapping, recommendations and a strong attraction message meant we were able to present a shortlist of an exciting selection of individuals. Three out of the four shortlisted individuals were living outside the UK at the time.

The Result

Fortune Hill enabled the client to appoint an exceptionally impressive Head of Creative who worked for one of the most exciting global youth culture brands.

Throughout the process, the client was inspired by this individual's creative vision for the brand as well as their creative and cultural fit for the business. The client is delighted with their new appointment and looking forward to welcoming them into the business and seeing the creative impact they will no doubt have.
