We were asked to recruit a Director of Product Portfolio, reporting to the Board level Group Product Director, to be responsible for understanding global consumer requirements.
Our client had an ambitious 5-year plan to double their profits. As part of their on-going global transformation agenda, we worked in close partnership to support their talent acquisition programme which has resulted in high-calibre, international talent join their existing management team to drive their business forward. Due to the unique structure of their business, this role did not exist in its exact form in many other organisations.
Our team conducted a global search to identify individuals capable of fulfilling the role.
We networked extensively with senior leaders who operated within the product space in fashion business. We were able to generate a significant number of recommendations which highlighted 'hidden' talent, including the individual who(m) our client ultimately appointed to the role. In addition we mapped out an agreed list of target organisations to provide our client with the evidence to confirm they were able to hire the best candidate in the industry for their requirements.

This search presented Fortune Hill with a number of challenges, including a change in reporting line, international relocation and budgetary changes. The final offer made provided only a very small increase in total compensation for the chosen candidate. The offer was communicated in person by one of our Directors.
